Tour 7 - Southern Naxos

Alyko beach

Alyko, located in the southwest of Naxos, is approximately 20km away from Naxos Town. It is one of the most impressive beaches of Naxos, with white sand and a forest of cedar trees. Access is made by asphalt road all the way. there are very few accommodation units and taverns in the nearby area but quite far from the beach.

Parts of the beach are well protected from the northern winds which are very common in the cycladic islands. It is only then that it becomes crowded as well as during August when surfers select the area for practicing their hobby. Nearby beaches are Kastraki (3km towards the north) and Pyrgaki (1km south-east).
