The road to Agios Prokopis runs through what used to be a salt-pan, in front of the airport. It is the most popular and most beautiful beach of the island. It protects its visitors from the force of the wind. So don't warry if the wind is lashing up the waves at Chora - it is certain to be calm at Agios Prokopios.
There are many accommodation units in the area as well as many taverns and bar-cafés. The beach gets particularly busy during the summer as it is only 5km away from the capital. There are umbrellas and sunbeds available at the bigger part of the beach. Nearest beaches are Agia Anna and Plaka.
