As its name denotes, Laguna resembles a lagoon with fine sand and shallow waters. It spreads between Saint George and Stelida beaches and it is dearly loved by surfers and especially beginners. It offers a magnificent distant view of Naxos Town. And a stunning view of the Aegean Sea. The beach is approximately 1.6km long. At its southernmost side one can see the sandy islets Mado and Kleftonisia.
Laguna beach is never crowded, not even during high season. There is plenty of accommodation nearby, however, the beach offers to umbrellas or sunbeds. During summer it is quite common to see fishermen spending enough time there and people who go from Saint George to Stelida or Agios Prokopios on foot.
There are several ways to reach Laguna from Naxos Town’s centre (Protodikeiou Square). By car, the shortest route is via the asphalt road which is closest to Saint George beach which in 1.4km will take you to the beach. The outer route is 2.4km away.
