The beautiful sandy beach of Kalados is located on the southern edge of Naxos Island. A sense of perfect isolation prevails during most of the summer and the off season has its advantages since it is secluded enough for skinny dipping in the very clear and clean water.
Fishermen and yacht sailor adore Kalados. Its rocky coastline offers endless possibilities for an unforgettable sailing tour and for catching some good fish and, as an additional plus, the entire coast is well protected from the northern winds due to its orientation.
It is not an organised beach and if you are sun shy, you will need to have an umbrella for some shade.
This beach is quite far from everywhere, so a rental car or motorbike/scooter is required in order to reach this beach. There is asphalt road all the way to Chimaros Tower (Himaros Tower) and after that you will traverse dirt road which is in quite good condition.
